Job Position

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor, control, and operate plant systems and equipment to ensure safe, stable, and efficient plant operation in compliance with operational, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Supervise shift operations and provide daily work direction to operators and subordinate personnel during assigned shifts.
  • Monitor plant performance including boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, conveyors, utilities, and auxiliary systems to maintain optimum plant efficiency and energy production.
  • Identify operational abnormalities, troubleshoot equipment and system issues, and coordinate corrective actions with maintenance and operations teams.
  • Conduct routine plant inspections and ensure all operating parameters remain within prescribed limits.
  • Maintain operation logs, reports, permits, and operational records accurately and timely.
  • Support lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), confined space entry, permit-to-work systems, and plant safety procedures.
  • Assist in operator training, knowledge sharing, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager and other departments during normal operations, shutdowns, startups, and emergency situations.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in power plants, Waste-to-Energy plants, heavy industrial plants, or process industries.
  • Ability to perform in roles with increasing operational responsibility up to Shift Supervisor level.
  • Exposure to or experience in shift leadership responsibilities (acting Shift Lead / Senior Operator / control room coordination) is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of boilers, steam turbines, generators, pumps, valves, instrumentation & control systems, utilities, and overall plant operations.
  • Ability to support troubleshooting and contribute to operational decision-making during normal and abnormal plant conditions.
  • Understanding of plant safety systems, permit-to-work systems, and standard operating procedures (SOP).
