Area Manager - Asset Management (Wind and Solar Energy)

Job Position

Reporting directly to the Head of Asset Management (Renewable Energy), the Area Manager provides strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of renewable energy assets, including Solar, Solar BESS, and Wind projects. Acting in alignment with management directives, this role ensures the effective integration of Asset Management strategies with cross-functional support teams, driving seamless execution of company policies, operational standards, and business objectives across the assigned regions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational and financial performance of multiple plant clusters, ensuring targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Partner with regional teams to standardize operations, maintenance, and Safety procedures across all projects.
  • Oversee annual budget preparation and monitor expenditure across regions to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with the approved business plan.
  • Provide consolidated performance reports and strategic growth insights to the Head of Asset Management and Executive Board to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive SHE policies and initiatives to maintain a zero-incident culture and ensure full compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ESMS standards.
  • Ensure all regional operations comply with government licenses, PPA requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Act as the company’s representative in high-level stakeholder engagements, community relations, and negotiations.
  • Lead enterprise risk management activities, including risk assessments, incident investigations, mitigation planning, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Oversee contract, regulatory, and environmental compliance to ensure all obligations are managed in accordance with contractual terms and applicable regulations. 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance management within Renewable Energy, Conventional Power Plants, or related industries.

  • Proven leadership capability with strong managerial and decision-making skills.

  • Experience in contract management and commercial oversight.

  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent time management and follow-through.

  • Confident presenter with effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in dynamic operational environments.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking and the ability to focus on key business priorities.

  • Able to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams as well as independently with minimal supervision.

  • Good command in English (Minimum 750 TOEIC score).
