Civil Engineer - Power Plant 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead civil engineering tasks in business development, project development, and execution from inception to commercial operation for Power Plant projects.
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies, due diligence, and provide engineering input for the planning and execution of Power Plant projects.
  • Develop project scope, approach, schedule, budget, and resource plans for Power Plant construction, expansion, and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Oversee civil engineering aspects, including site layout design, structural analysis, foundation design, and optimization for Power Plant
  • Manage site assessments, geotechnical investigations, and civil infrastructure planning to support Power Plant.
  • Define scope and specifications for procuring engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services related to Power Plant
  • Lead bidding and evaluation processes for EPC contracts, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee project execution, including engineering reviews, contractor coordination, site inspections, and progress monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations, environmental standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marine engineers, logistics specialists, project managers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project success.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in project engineering and/or civil engineering roles, with at least 3-5 years of experience in Power Plant
  • Strong knowledge of structural design, geotechnical analysis, and civil works in Power Plant
  • Experience with site grading, foundation design, dredging, and coastal infrastructure planning for Power Plant
  • Familiarity with local and international construction standards, maritime regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Project management expertise, including planning, execution, and contractor management in large-scale civil projects.
  • Ability to assess risks and provide mitigation strategies for civil engineering aspects of Power Plant
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score).
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site in upcountry and international locations.
