Job Responsibilities
- Review, draft, interpret, and manage engineering and construction contracts related to hydropower projects.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders (internal teams, contractors, and consultants) to ensure all contractual obligations are clearly understood and executed.
- Monitor contract performance, variations, extensions, and claims in accordance with project timelines and legal requirements.
- Develop, update, and monitor project schedules to ensure alignment with contract milestones and overall project timelines.
- Support project planning and scheduling coordination among engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Assist in contract negotiations and support procurement and project management teams in aligning contracts with project goals.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks and provide recommendations for resolution of contract-related disputes.
- Ensure compliance with legal, corporate, and industry standards and requirements.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive contract documentation and records.
- Participate in meetings, site visits, and inspections to assess contract progress and alignment with engineering specifications.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in contract management or engineering project management, preferably in the energy, renewable energy, mega project or infrastructure sector.
- Experience working on hydropower or large-scale infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of FIDIC or other relevant international contract standards is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking (Minimum 750 TOEIC score).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to work on-site in Laos on a long-term basis.
