Cost Engineer (Hydropower)
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with the project team during the construction phase of a hydropower project.
- Investigate and analyze the cost and payment aspects of the EPC contract.
- Ensure all financial transactions and payments comply with the EPC contract terms and conditions.
- Prepare cost estimates and budget forecasts for the project.
- Monitor and control project costs and budgets throughout the construction phase.
- Identify and report any potential cost overruns or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the project team to implement cost-saving measures.
- Participate in project planning and execution to ensure cost-effectiveness and EPC contract compliance.
- Utilize 3D modeling capabilities to validate EPC variation orders.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost engineering, preferably in the hydropower sector.
- Strong understanding of EPC contracts and their financial implications.
- Proficiency in cost analysis and budgeting techniques.
- Experience with 3D modeling software in engineering projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- English fluency (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in project management software advantageous.
- Willingness to travel/work upcountry and abroad.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score)
