Manager/Assistant - Mechanical Engineer (EPC Power Plant)

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the mechanical design integrity of new Power Plant, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

  • Oversee EPC Contractors throughout engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are met.

  • Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to integrate mechanical systems effectively into the overall plant design.

  • Monitor contractor performance, review designs, and provide technical guidance to resolve engineering challenges.

  • Enforce SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) policies, promoting safe work practices and regulatory compliance.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement quality control measures for fabrication, installation, and testing.

  • Support commissioning and startup of mechanical systems, ensuring operational reliability.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

  • 7 years of experience in Power Plant is a plus

  • Professional engineering license from the Council of Engineers is a plus.

  • Understand basic overall process of Power plants.

  • Excellent knowledge in rotating machines such as Fans, Pumps, Compressors, and Gas Turbines with fluent application of the international industrial codes and standards such as API and ASME.

  • Experience in cryogenic plants design and/or operation and maintenance is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with the development of green fields in the Oil and Gas business.

  • Experience in rotating machines technical specification evaluation specific to Oil and Gas sector.

  • Display the high performance with board guidelines with minimal supervision.

  • Able to work under pressure and tight timeline. 

  • Able to travel both domestically and upcountry.

  • Fluent in English both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score). 

  • Ability to travel/work upcountry and abroad.
