Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Provide commercial advice on contract terms, conditions, and strategies to internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operations teams.
- Review existing contracts for opportunities to renegotiate terms, renew contracts, or terminate when necessary.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with procurement contracts, including legal, financial, and operational risks.
- Advise the business on risk mitigation strategies related to procurement agreements and ensure proper clauses are included to protect the company’s interests.
- Monitor supplier compliance with contract terms, including deliverables, quality standards, and timelines.
- Address and resolve any issues, disputes, or performance concerns in collaboration with the legal department and stakeholders.
- Ensure that contracts are executed in accordance with agreed terms and conditions and that both parties meet their obligations.
- Establish and maintain a system for tracking key contract milestones, obligations, and deliverables.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure that all contract-related tasks, approvals, and payments are completed as per contract terms.
- Provide ongoing commercial insights and strategic advice to the procurement team and senior management on contract negotiations and procurement strategy.
- Actively monitor market trends and commercial practices to identify cost-saving opportunities or potential improvements to contract terms.
- Work closely with the legal team to ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Maintain proper records of contracts, amendments, correspondence, and related documents.
- Ensure the proper storage and accessibility of contracts for future reference, audits, or disputes.
- Prepare regular reports on contract performance, risk assessments, and supplier performance for senior management.
- Continuously evaluate and improve contract management processes to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and increase commercial value.
Job Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in procurement, contract management, or commercial advisory roles.
- Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts in a corporate or commercial setting.
- Familiarity with procurement and legal regulations and commercial best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ability to advise on complex commercial decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities.
- Good in English both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score)
