Senior DC Operations Engineer (Samut Prakan)

Job Responsibilities

• Assume leadership in the absence of the Data Center Operations Manager
• Demonstrate strong people management skills and extensive maintenance experience
• Efficiently manage shift operations, including NOC team scheduling
• Collaborate on maintenance oversight in the GSA data center
• Provide hands-on MEP maintenance expertise and coach team members
• Develop operation procedures with the Operations Director
• Assist in creating training plans for the operations team
• Ensure quality assurance of technician work and documentation
• Monitor and balance energy consumption, ensuring efficiency
• Manage technician roster for 24x7 operations and inventory supplies and tools
• Provide mentoring and leadership to technicians
• Support construction, research, and development activities
• Possess a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers
• Adhere to safety requirements and OSHA regulations
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings

Job Qualifications

• Strong understanding of MEP system in the data center
• Experience interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics and electrical/mechanical drawings
• Familiar with Microsoft Suite, BMS, EPMS, CPMS and CMMS
• Travel may be requested by GSA
• The data center is a 24 hour/7 day operation. This position requires the ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely and effectively with contractors installing, performing maintenance or upgrade work on systems installed in the data center environment
• Ability to analyze and make suggestions for problem resolution
• Solve problems with good initiative and sound judgment
• Make decisions independently with minimal guidance
• Creativity, problem solving skills, negotiation and systematic thinking
• Fluent in English both written and verbal (Minimum 500 TOEIC score)
