Site Manager - Wind Farm Project

Job Responsibilities

Location: Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, or Mukdahan

  • Close cooperation with the Project Manager in planning, preparation and execution of the site.
  • Organization of the subcontractors e.g. BOP works supervision, QA documentation check, weekly follow-up meetings.
  • Overseeing and controlling civil and electrical BOP works in anticipation of turbine delivery.
  • Organization of the subcontractors according to erection strategy.
  • Make decisions regarding site activities and priorities on a daily basis.
  • Be First contact for all parties being active on site such as subcontractors, suppliers and any other personnel on site by building up a strong relationship with the aforementioned parties.
  • Define time schedules for the management of the site and monitor and safeguard required level of quality throughout erection, finishing and commissioning works.
  • Coordinate work tasks for individual parties on site.
  • Oversee and control civil, mechanical and electrical site works in anticipation with turbine delivery and in accordance with given time frame.
  • Lead the arrival at site, erection and commissioning of the wind turbines in order to assure the hand over to the customer service team on-time and in good quality.
  • Close Cooperation and communicate periodically with the correspondent Logistic Manager and/or the logistic company involved in the delivery of goods.
  • Monitor the delivery of goods on a daily basis.
  • Organization of the Toolbox Talk on a daily basis to keep all leaders coordinated, updated and informed about daily tasks and HSE issues, as well as monitor the related documentation.
  • Instruct, control and manage personnel at site, subcontractors and all suppliers at the site including erection and transportation companies
  • Control costs and provide the Project Manager with all necessary reports and feedback regarding progress of works, support for claims for extension of time and/or costs to our customers and suppliers, installed equipment, HSE and quality issues at site.
  • Support the Project Manager and Commercial Project Manager in contract and claim management towards clients and suppliers.

Job Qualifications

  • Bechelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in renewable energy business such as wind (offshore & onshore).
  • Experience in management of scope, cost, schedules and vendors/ subcontractors in varied contract arrangements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS-Office to include MS Project, AutoCAD.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, and strong contractual knowledge.
  • Interpersonal relationship skills, ability to communicate with people of different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Strong leadership experiences and management skills.
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal.
  • Ability to travel/ work upcountry and abroad.
