Chemist – Plant

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and verify chemical test results to make sure they are accurate and meet plant safety and environmental standards.
• Monitor and adjust chemical feed in systems such as boiler water, cooling water, and flue gas treatment.
• Track chemical usage, maintain inventory, and place orders as needed—while sourcing from the best-value suppliers.
• Work closely with chemical service providers to cross-check test results and ensure consistent system performance.
• Analyze chemical consumption data to identify process issues or equipment maintenance needs early.
• Provide training to operators and other staff on correct sampling, testing, and chemical handling procedures.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work at Gulf Pluak Daeng, Rayong (GPD)
• Experience in Power Plants will be an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and instruction manuals.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in chemical testing, water treatment, or emissions control in an industrial setting.
• Solid understanding of water chemistry, combustion by-products, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments, chemical safety, and quality control procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with operations teams.
• Ability to travel/work upcountry and abroad.
• Good command in English (Minimum 600 TOEIC score).
