Senior Performance Engineer (Power Plant : Rayong based)

Job Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze overall plant performance, efficiency, and heat rate of the combined cycle power plant.

Evaluate performance of major equipment including Gas Turbines (GT), Steam Turbines (ST), HRSG, Condenser, and Auxiliary Systems.

Conduct performance testing and verification in accordance with design specifications, OEM guidelines, and contractual guarantees.

Analyze operational data to identify performance degradation, losses, and improvement opportunities.

Perform heat balance analysis and efficiency calculations for GT, HRSG, and ST systems.

Support plant operation and maintenance teams in troubleshooting performance-related issues.

Develop and maintain performance monitoring tools, KPIs, and periodic performance reports.

Support outage planning by providing performance-related analysis and recommendations.

Coordinate with OEMs and third-party vendors for performance assessment and optimization activities.

Support fuel consumption optimization and emissions-related performance analysis.

Ensure plant performance complies with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 4 years' experience in Combined Cycle Power Plant operation, performance, or engineering is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and combined cycle power generation processes.
- Understanding of Gas Turbine, HRSG, Steam Turbine, condenser, and BOP systems.
- Ability to perform heat rate analysis, heat balance calculation, and performance trending.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (MS Excel; Power BI or similar tools is an advantage).
- Familiarity with OEM performance standards and testing procedures (e.g. GT/ST performance curves).
- Ability to work at Rayong.
- Good command of English (minimum TOEIC 600).
